Hi Tom, The time to serve was recorded from the moment the ball went out of play (one player having either hit a winner or faulted) to the moment the ball was struck for the first serve of the next point. According to the ATP Rule Book (2008, p. 97), the "25 Seconds / Continuous Play" rule is monitored by the chair umpire who starts the stopwatch after the ball goes out of play. The player must strike the ball for the first serve of the next point within 25 seconds, otherwise a time violation is recorded. Best, Riaan
