Federer bias

Yes, you made some keen observations. Federer also appears to violate the 25 second interval from time to time, but as I pointed out in the section entitled Too Little Time?, this typically happens when the sum of the games completed is an even number and the balls have to be passed from one end of the court to the other, when the server changes during tiebreaks and when the players have to change sides after the first game of a set. I proposed a new (realistic) time limit scheme which would allow for these longer-than-usual delays, in which case Federer would hardly ever have exceeded the time limit (Figure 3). The same cannot be said of Nadal (Figure 4). I don't hate Nadal - I simply don't like his on-court behaviour. I am sure most of those who agree with me feel the same. He remains a great player.
